The countries participant in the GEF project are those countries in the American that have endorsed the GEF project, appointed a national focal point and who are eligible to receive funds under "Building The Inter-American Biodiversity Information Network" project. IABIN Countries that are eligible to received GEF funds
* Canada and United States of America are not eligible to received funds under Component 2 (Data Content Creation). ** Cuba and French Guyana are not eligible to received funds under IABIN GEF Project, however, they can be members of the network, provide data and attend meetings.
